Since 2016, FAC has helped more than 1000 businesses grow and thrive, with 80% of business owners reporting increased confidence because of this support. We have secured over $90 million in funding for the First Nations economy to enable pathways to financial access and support. FAC’s approach advocates for diversity and inclusion with more that 40% of supported investments made into businesses led by women and 52% based in regional or rural areas. We are industry agnostic and work alongside businesses in all sectors to enable development with key investments to date in areas such as construction, arts and recreation, retail, and professional services.

Looking ahead, FAC’s 10-year strategy focuses on catalysing for radical change in investment markets. By 2031, FAC aims to contribute to the Indigenous business sector tripling in size and seeking $1 billion in mainstream capital leveraged for investment in Indigenous businesses and communities.

Radical Possibilities

Strategy is a series of stories woven together to create a landscape, a map, an appreciation of where we are now and heading. Our strategy is framed around storytelling, truth-telling, reconciliation, and a generational outlook. Through the support and input from our partners, FAC’s strategy sets out the journey we will undertake over the next decade to create a new economy driven by First Australians.
