First Australians Capital is pleased welcomes Abhilash Mudaliar to the FAC Board

Abhilash is the Chief Portfolio Officer at the Paul Ramsay Foundation and has over 17 years of experience in impact investing, research, evaluation, and social enterprise. At the Paul Ramsay Foundation, part of Abhilash’s focuses on leveraging the power of the Foundation’s balance sheet to deploy impact investments to organisations that are purposed on making positive changes to society. Abhilash has expertise in rigorous evaluations which he uses to inform business decisions and future strategies. Abhilash brings to FAC a wealth of experience in structuring and managing impact funds, measuring and managing (financial and impact) performance, and learning through ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

Before joining the Paul Ramsay Foundation, Abhilash was part of the leadership team at the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), and a microfinance accelerator in India where he supported early-stage institutions scale their reach and impact. He has also played a leading role in controlled trials of education policy interventions in primary schools.

Abhilash holds Honors degrees in Commerce and Arts from the University of Melbourne and an MPA in International Development from Harvard University. In his spare time, he enjoys writing fiction, hiking, and spending time with his family.
